Draft. These terms are a working draft published ahead of the app's launch and will be finalized — including legal review — before the app is available to download. Nobody has been charged yet; billing begins at launch.

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

These terms are an agreement between you and Lumen Domus Schola LLC, a Florida limited liability company ("we," "us"), for the Lumen Domus Schola app (web, iOS, and Android), the website lumendomusschola.com, and related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, subscribing, or using the Service you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

2. Who can use the Service

You must be at least 18 years old and the parent or legal guardian of any student you add. You are responsible for everything done under your account, including by family members using kid mode or a linked student login. Student logins may be created or linked only with the authorization of the account-holding parent, who is responsible for that child's use of the Service.

3. Your account

Keep your password confidential. The optional parent PIN is a convenience lock for shared devices, not a substitute for a password. Tell us right away at hello@lumendomusschola.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Subscriptions, trials, and billing

5. Your content

You own the plans, notes, and photos you put into the Service. You give us a limited licence to store, process, and display that content solely to run the Service for you — including rendering it into printable pages and reports you request. You promise you have the right to upload anything you add, especially photographs of people (photos should be of your own family, or of others only with their permission) and curriculum materials (uploaded for your family's personal use only; we do not redistribute them). We may remove content that violates these terms or the law.

6. AI features and accuracy

Curriculum scan and field-trip suggestions are generated by an AI service and can be wrong, out of date, or incomplete. Check lesson lists against your materials, and confirm venue hours, prices, safety, and suitability before you go. The Service is a planning tool: it does not provide educational, legal, or homeschool-compliance advice, and it does not certify that your family meets any state's homeschool, attendance, or reporting requirements. You are responsible for knowing and meeting the requirements where you live. Attendance counts, reports, and the Year-End Report are convenience records built from what you enter.

7. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the Service: no unlawful content, no attempts to access other families' data, no reverse-engineering, scraping, or reselling, no uploading malware, and no using the Service to harass or harm anyone. Don't upload content you don't have the right to share.

8. Third-party services

The Service relies on providers named in the Privacy Policy (for example Supabase, Stripe, Anthropic, and Vercel) and may link to third-party websites such as field-trip venues. We're not responsible for third-party sites or services.

9. Changes to the Service

We're a small company and improve the Service continually. We may add, change, or remove features. If a change materially reduces what you paid for, you may cancel.

10. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from the Profile screen in the app. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practical. Sections that by their nature should survive (disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) survive termination.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and you should keep your own copies of anything important — the print and export features are there for exactly that.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost data or profits, arising from your use of the Service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For material changes we'll notify you in the app or by email before they take effect; continuing to use the Service after that means you accept them.
